Suad Amiry. Palestinian writer and architect, founder and director of the Riwaq Centre for Architectural Conservation in Ramallah, where she lives. Born in Damascus from Syrian mother and Palestinian father, she grew up between Amman, Beirut and Cairo. Feltrinelli published in 2016 My Damascus, preceded by Sharon and my Mother-in-law (2003) and Se questa è vita (2005), later republished together in 2007, Niente sesso in città (2007), Murad Murad (2009) and Golda slept here (2013). She wrote and edited various volumes on different aspects of the Palestinian architecture. She won the international award Viareggio Versilia in 2004 and the Nonino Risit d’Aur award in 2014.
